The angel of death came to a very rich man.
"It's time," he told him.
"Please give me three more days to live," began the rich man, who was accustomed to solving all his problems by paying for them. "In return I will give you a third of all my wealth!"
"No!" said the angel.
"All right, leave me at least one day in this world and you will receive all my innumerable wealth!" The man continued to pray.
The angel was relentless. Then the rich man stopped offering his money and said:
"Please then give me just a few minutes to write a farewell letter!"
The angel agreed. The man took paper and ink and wrote: "Use your time on earth wisely. Listen to your heart and carefully evaluate the value of the things you surround yourself with. I couldn't buy even one day of life for all my huge fortune.”
