A perennial herb with a straight, hairy stem and creeping root shoots. The flowers are white, collected in baskets, and they - in thyroid inflorescences at the top of the stem. White yarrow grows along roads and roadsides, hills, pastures and mountain slopes up to 1500m above sea level. The plant reaches a height of up to 40cm. White yarrow is considered one of the most ancient medicinal herbs and has always been highly valued, including by doctors. It is said to regulate all juices. It is also called a "cure for every ailment", it even has a blood-forming effect on the bone marrow. The flowers and leaves are collected. The leaves are collected in spring and used for salad.

Chemical composition: The leaves and flowers contain essential oil (which consists of proazulene, alpha-pinene, vipinene, l-borneol, thujone, cineole, caryophyllene), bitter substances (achilein, achiletin), esters of isovaleric and formic acids, vitamin K and others.

Usable part: The flowers and stems of the plant are the usable part. The flowers are harvested during flowering, in June-August, cut short, without the stem part and dried in the shade at up to 40 degrees. The dried herb is white, slightly yellowish in color, with a pleasant smell and bitter taste.

Medicinal effect and application: It has the property of stimulating appetite and increasing gastric secretion. It also increases blood clotting, which acts as a hemostatic. It is used for bleeding, hemorrhoids, stomach and intestinal diseases, decreased appetite. Strengthens uterine muscle contractions. Yarrow is used for jaundice, nosebleeds, uterine bleeding, malaria, liver diseases, involuntary urination, headache, insufficient menstruation, inflammation of the kidneys and bladder, palpitations.

Directions for use: 2 tablespoons of yarrow are poured with 500ml of boiling water and soaked for 1 hour. Drink one wine glass before meals 4 times a day.
